After a two year apprenticeship, Johnny relocated to Key West Florida where he tattooed and pierced for two years. In 2015, he relocated to Asbury Park, New Jersey where he began working at Old Glory Tattoo Co., and in 2019 he went to work at Anchors Aweigh in Bradley Beach. After six years of building a client base in central New Jersey, he felt it was time to open a tattoo shop of his own. Colfax tattoo is now open in Wall, New Jersey as of February 2022.
